Google Apps for Education: An Overview and Planning for Implementationx

This training is designed for our CESA 3 school district teams (administrator, tech support, curriculum person) to get an overview of Google Apps for Education (docs, calendar, sites), to learn about the various deployment and implementation options and decisions a district should make, and to plan / discuss in teams the implementation and professional development strategies they will use. The schedule is fairly fluid as we want to meet the needs of our district teams.

$25 fee is to cover meal and expense.

The morning session will cover:
· Gather information on district Google Apps implementation status
· An overview of Google Apps for Education has to offer
· Share resources for training and implementation information
· Opportunity for Q & A

The afternoon session will cover more technical aspects including:
(Interactive video conferencing with Wisconsin Technical Support reps and Google tech support staff provided we have sufficient number of participants)
· An overview of the Google Apps Dashboard
· Deployment process and aspects of implementation at the local level
· Opportunity for sharing and Q & A

NOTE: The afternoon video-conference is dependent on participation of 10 or more registrations. Registration DEADLINE is Monday , August 15, 2011.

Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA #3 at least one week prior to the scheduled event to cancel and receive a full refund of your registration fee. Cancellations not received at least one week prior to the registered event will be charged the full registration fee. CESA #3 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot. Accommodations: If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated. CESA #3 is handicapped accessible.
