This workshop, designed specifically for paraprofessionals supporting students with ASD, will provide participants with the necessary foundation or knowledge base for being able to effectively program for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Numerous highly effective, innovative, and practical strategies that can be used immediately to meet the educational programming needs of students with ASD will be shown. A unique educational planning guide will also be shared, designed to assist educational teams in identifying the source of challenging behaviors in relation to the features and characteristics of ASD.


Presenter: Susan L. Stokes, MA, CCC-SLP has specialized in the area of autism spectrum disorder as both a speech/language pathologist and autism consultant for over 20 years. She has presented at many state and national workshops/conferences, and frequently provides trainings related to all aspects of ASD to various groups across the country. Registration fee for each workshop:  $65/session or Early Bird Special!  $200 if all 4 sessions are registered and paid for by Sept. 30, 2009 - Early Bird fee is non-refundable, but attendance at each session is transferable!

Suspension/Expulsion Ratesdiscrepancy between the rate of students with disabilities being suspended or expelled from school more than 10 days
Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
