Youth Leadership Training for Safe & Respectful Schools
Sponsored by the Safe & Drug Free Schools & Communities Department

December 16, 2011 (Fri.)
9:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m.
LOCATION CHANGED to the Portage United Methodist Church, 1804 New Pinery Road, Portage, WI 53901
Facilitator: Tim Belleau

Training Description:

Adolescence is all about learning friendship and relationship skills. It is also a time when bullying behavior can make adolescence a VERY unpleasant experience. With 85% of our students being bystanders, we need to support them to address this behavior and make a difference.

Statistics indicate that the majority of the time staff do NOT intervene on bullying and frequently it is because they don't know it is happening. This workshop will help teens work together to have a plan for making their school a safe place for EVERYONE. Bring a team of students that are ready to make a difference and they'll leave with a plan.

Who Should Attend: Team of Middle School or High School Students and adult to supervise the students

Registration Fee (includes lunch):
