The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires that the state educational agency will ensure that all paraprofessionals working in a program supported under Title I, Part A meet applicable state certification standards. CESA 5 is hosting a series of one-day events for paraprofessionals to take the ACT WorkKeys to meet state qualifications.

Participants will take three online ACT WorkKeys Assessments:

  • Applied Math (55 minutes)
  • Workplace Documents (55 minutes)
  • Business Writing (30 minutes, one prompt)

On the day of the event, participants will need to bring a valid picture form of identification (driver's license, passport, school identification), a No. 2 pencil, and a calculator. For information about the calculator policy, please click here. Participants should check their e-mail regularly for registration information and updates leading up to the event date.

Registration Fee: $75 (Includes test fees and a light breakfast/snacks)

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
