Description of workshop: Teaching is a complex, important task that requires constant growth and development.  This two-day course is designed to provide participants with a brief overview of the educator’s role in the classroom so the substitute teaching experience will be rewarding, satisfying and meaningful.  This class is open to individuals holding a non-teaching college degree , who wish to be certified for substitute teaching in the State of Wisconsin.

Date:  August 24 & 25, 2011

Location: CESA 6 large conference room-Oshkosh

Cost: $150.00 includes two day training/continental breakfast/lunch/materials-fee is payable by check to CESA 6, credit card/Pay Pal.  In the event of a cancellation credit card will be refunded or check returned.

You will receive a confirmation e mail that you registered and an e mail if the workshop is cancelled.  You will also receive a reminder e mail prior to the workshop So please check your e mail prior to August 24th..

Registration:  8:00-8:30 a.m.

Session:         8:30-3:30 p.m.

Prior to registering it is suggested that you contact the school district(s) you plan to do the most subbing at.  Check with them if they will be accepting non certified teaching subs for the 2011-12 school year.  Some district will only be accepting certified teachers as subs.  Also, you will need to have a district sponsor you.  This means that if they do not have enough certified teachers as subs they will call upon you to sub once you have your sub permit.  Each district will require tax information, copy of your sub license, and/or background check.  Rate of daily pay will vary as will available days.  Any concerns or questions, feel free to contact me.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
