Teachers in grades 3 - 5 have the opportunity to empower their students to read more complex text that will change their lives and help them fall in love with reading! There are also the challenges of meeting the many different needs of your students and ensuring their understandings and applications of the common core standards, so they are prepared to succeed in middle school and beyond. These sessions are designed to support teachers with implementing the components of TCRWP Reading Units of Study to help foster a love of reading while meeting rigorous expectations for student growth.

October 3, 2018  -  Setting Your Readers Up for Success

  • Structures and routines that help you maximize your time

  • Utilizing resources

  • Using performance assessments

  • Understanding and measuring  the learning that will take place in Book 1

November 7, 2018   - Moving Students Forward

  • Using learning progressions

  • Conferring and small groups

  • Understanding and measuring  the learning that will take place in Book 2

January 16, 2018  - Targeted Planning for Student Growth

  • Interactive Read Aloud

  • Book Clubs

  • Building toolkits

  • Understanding and measuring the learning that will take place in Book 3

April 9, 2018 -  The Equity Lens - Spring Session Combined groups K-5:

  • Understanding equity

  • Using data to determine strengths and gaps

  • Equity embedded into your Reading and Writing Workshops

  • Action steps with work time

$320 per participant for CESA 7  2018-19 Learning Services Partnership Member

$400 per participant for Non-CESA 7 2018-19 Learning Services Partnership Member

$450 per participant for Non-CESA 7 districts
