Where does grammar fit in with Writer’s Workshop? How do you choose mentor texts for your students? How do you mine them for the craft lessons you want your students to learn? In this workshop, we will discuss picture books as teaching tools and look at ways to integrate them into your curriculum and classroom discussions. We will also look at student’s independent writing as their tool to make grammar and convention revisions.
