Teachers play a central role in facilitating children’s progress as they select and teach activities that facilitate their children’s progress on the Counting Trajectory.  Selecting those “just right” activities hinges on assessments that help teachers appreciate children’s unique skills and abilities and target areas for growth.  In this session we will explore how the intentional use of Counting Collections can be used to advance young children’s development of counting and the usefulness of the Counting Trajectory as a means of assessment for young children.
