How do we meet the needs of all students with such different cultures, backgrounds, and needs? Universal Design for Learning takes student barriers and turns them into opportunities to create a classroom that is designed for all. This overview session will provide you with an understanding of the Guidelines of UDL: Engagement, Representation, and Action and Expression. Through the guidelines you will understand how simple changes can help your staff and you have a big impact on student learning and achievement.

Learning outcomes include:

  • Participants will gain an understanding of Universal Design for Learning.
  • Participants will learn about the UDL Guidelines and how they impact student achievement.
