Time: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Location: CESA 5 Office, 626 E. Slifer St., Portage, WI

Meeting Format:

  • MORNING: Networking, Resource Sharing, Problem Solving, Learning
  • AFTERNOON: Topics specific to schools and communities regarding safe & drug free youth
  • Each meeting includes distribution of relevant resources and some great door prizes—from curriculum to CD’s, DVD’s and other items

Who Would Find These Meetings Valuable:

  • ATOD Coordinators, Equity Coordinators, FCS or Health Teachers, Nurses or Counselors from private and public schools in the CESA 5 region
  • Community or County prevention professionals or youth educators
  • Members of tobacco or other community ATOD coalitions
  • DARE Officers and Police School Liaison Officers (PSLO or SRO’s)

Graduate Credit: ONE OR TWO GRADUATE CREDITS available.  Cost of $200/credit through Viterbo University.  Credit registration and fee paid by November Meeting.
 

Dates for the Whole Year Include:

  • Friday, November 11, 2011 (Meeting #2)
  • Wednesday, February 1, 2012 (Meeting #3) 
  • Thursday, May 10, 2012 (Meeting #4)

There is no charge for these meetings and registration is strongly encouraged at least 1 week before the meeting date to ensure adequate food and handouts.

Suspension/Expulsion Ratesdiscrepancy between the rate of students with disabilities being suspended or expelled from school more than 10 days
Secondary Transition GoalsPercent of youth aged 16 and older whose IEP includes coordinated, measureable annual goals and transition services
Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
