Join us to explore how high-quality instructional materials, combined with ongoing, meaningful professional learning, can save time and provide the support you deserve to help improve student outcomes. With high-quality instructional materials in place, teachers can focus their creativity and skill on connecting with students to meet their needs and propel learning forward.

This event is designed for school-based teams of 4-12 educators: teachers, principals, directors of curriculum & instruction, educators from teacher prep programs, and designers of educator professional learning. The primary focus will be English Language Arts and Mathematics.

Registration is FREE! Join us to:

  • Learn how high-quality instructional materials can increase equity;

  • Determine how to vet instructional materials for quality;

  • Explore options related to materials selection and professional learning; and

  • Examine research that supports connections between standards-aligned instructional materials, professional learning, and student achievement.

The primary focus of this event is English Language Arts and Mathematics.

Come As a Team
This workshop is designed for school-based teams. Recommended team composition include: teachers, principals, directors of curriculum and instruction, educators from teacher prep programs, and designers of educator professional learning.

Keynote Speakers: 
Kate Gerson, managing partner of UnboundEd and Eric Hirsch, Executive Director of Ed Reports will provide virtual keynotes with local facilitation by Billie Finco and Laura Veglahn at CESA #4.

 If attending with a team, each team member must register individually.

Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA 4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event unless otherwise stated in the individual event details. CESA 4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA 4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.


Dietary Restrictions: Because of the number of meals served, number of ingredients used, and food product changes from vendors, we cannot guarantee dietary restrictions as indicated in a user's myQuickReg profile will be accommodated. Participants with dietary restrictions such as food allergies should plan to bring their own refreshments.


Weather Conditions: If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please call CESA 4 Voice Mail at (608) 786-4800; Toll Free (800) 514-3075. A message will be posted regarding workshop weather cancellations.
