Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training
Wednesday February 27, 2019
Southwest Technical College
1800 Bronson Boulevard
Fennimore, WI 53809
Are you prepared for a potentially violent episode? If a student in your classroom were about to lose control, would you know how to react? Would you recognize the warning signs to de-escalate the individual before he/she became assaultive? If he/she did become physically assaultive, would you know how to protect yourself, bystanders and the acting out individual from injury?
With non-violent crisis intervention training you will learn how to recognize the signs of anxiety and pending disruption. You will learn proper verbal and nonverbal reactions that can interrupt the escalation and calm the situation before it gets out of hand.
This program complies with Wis. Act 125 addressing the use of seclusion and physical restraint in public schools
