Please Note: Day 2 is on Tuesday, November 15, 2011.  If you wish to register for BOTH sessions, please navigate back to the "All Events" calendar and register for that event.

Participants will experience and learn activities that :

  • Maximize learning capabilities
  • Stimulate nervous system activity in all parts of the brain
  • Lessen the fight or flight reaction
  • Develop new neuro pathways when learning feels “stuck”
  • Participants will apply these strategies to their specific learning environments
     

Who Should Attend: ATOD Coordinators, Teachers, Counselors, Social Workers, Nurses, Paraprofessionals
 

Graduate Credit: One graduate credit available.  Cost of $200 for one credit through Viterbo University.  Credit registration and fee paid on first day of class. Must attend both days to receive graduate credit.
 

Registration Fee: Includes lunch, materials and book.  Book: Hands On: How to use Brain Gym in the Classroom by Isabel Cohen & Marcelle Goldsmith

DAY 1 ONLY: $75 - ATOD Network; $125 - Non-ATOD Network (Marshfield, Mauston, Reedsburg, Stevens Point, Waupaca, Wild Rose, WI Rapids)

Please Note: Participants can attend Day 1 only OR Day 1 and Day 2. Day 2 will focus on reflection of experience and skill refinement. You must attend both classes to receive graduate credit.

Special Education
Participation and Performance on statewide assess.for students with disabilities
Suspension/Expulsion Ratesdiscrepancy between the rate of students with disabilities being suspended or expelled from school more than 10 days
Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
