This workshop series is designed to support teachers who are using the Teacher’s College Reading Units of Study for the Middle School as they work to implement the required assessment and instructional routines that are part of the Reading Workshop structure. Each workshop session is distinct from the others, but sequenced to strategically support teachers through implementation in manageable bits. The sessions will not only include support for teaching Reading Workshop in a middle school setting, but also unpack each of the Units of Study. Participants will receive support in how to implement this rigorous curriculum in the many different models (time structures) that exist in our Wisconsin schools. Tips and Tricks will be shared, instruction will be modeled, and resources will be given.
