There is great diversity among learners in every school. The educational community has a responsibility to provide rigorous learning opportunities for all learners. Many schools struggle to meet these needs. This group of educators work collaboratively around identification tools, program options, delivery modes and strategies, and resources for students with gifted/talented needs. By joining this collaborative you will find support for those directing the education of students whose needs extend beyond the core curriculum.
Participants will:
- Review and update the district gifted/talented plan addressing the seven key characteristics
- Study and discuss processes for identifying the unique gifts and talents of students that are equitable for the diverse student population
- Network with and learn from each other to provide rich opportunities for all learners
- Explore types of programs, opportunities and resources connected to core curriculum for gifted/talented students that are systemic, responsive, fluid, appropriate, collaborative, sustainable, and comprehensive
