9/14/18 Focus Area: Starting the Year

Being a new teacher can be overwhelming and challenging. Join us for this interactive workshop series that will provide you with easy to implement strategies and ideas to help alleviate the stress of being a new teacher.

This workshop series will focus on all aspects of the teacher educator standards. We will explore the models of Educator Effectiveness to address the following:

  • Instructional planning and delivery
  • Student achievement
  • Grading and assessment
  • Working with diverse populations
  • The classroom environment
  • Student engagement
  • Student behavior
  • Parent/family engagement

Learn tactics to successfully guide you through your first year of teaching! Each workshop date will include time for sharing, networking, coaching, and answering questions you may have.

This workshop series is structured as stand-alone events thus allowing for educators to attend any or all of the dates as their schedule allows. 

Audience: All educators interested in deepening their knowledge and application of the teacher standards.

Cost per session:  $20 for CESA 5 School Improvement Members, $75 all others

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
