CESA 4 will be hosting Lindsey Moses for two Title III Workshop Events!

Differentiation and Small-Group Instruction

  • Educators will learn practical, research-based strategies for differentiating instruction.
  • Educators will learn and apply four differentiation models for supporting students in the Reading Workshop.
  • Educators will learn practical, research-based strategies for
  •       providing needs-based instruction in small groups.
  • Educators will learn practical strategies for using assessment to make small-group instructional decisions.
  • Educators will learn about the purposes, structures, and benefits of four different types of small-group instruction.

Cost for the Event:

  • This event is FREE for Title III Consortium Member Districts
  • 1 day: $150.00 -or- 2 days: $225.00
  • Registration includes materials and lunch

       Lindsey Moses is an assistant professor of literacy education at Arizona State University.  A former elementary teacher, Lindsey works with classroom teachers around the country supporting the implementation of effective literacy instruction in diverse settings. Her research focuses on elementary literacy instruction and English learners. 

Lindsey is the coauthor of Comprehension and English Language Learners and author of Supporting English Learners in the Reading Workshop, which provides research-based, teacher-tested instruction and differentiation ideas that facilitate success for diverse learners.

Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA #4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event. CESA #4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA #4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA #4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.

Weather Conditions: If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please call CESA #4 Voice Mail at (608) 786-4800; Toll Free (800) 514-3075. A message will be posted regarding workshop weather cancellations.

Other Helpful Hints: Room temperatures vary from one workshop location to another, so bring a jacket or sweater for maximum comfort.

Accommodations: If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated.
