This workshop will be offered on May 9th and repeated on May 17th. You may attend either date that is convenient for you.
Join CESA 5 Safe and Healthy Schools experts for a day of grant planning and writing for the 2018 School Safety Initiative. Our experts will explain the details of the School Safety Grant, provide resources, as well as allow time for your team to write and submit the grant. Please note, CESA 5 will be supporting your schools in the grant writing process, however, CESA 5 will not be writing the grant for schools. Click here for the agenda.
Interested districts are encouraged to send teams to the workshop (Business Managers, Superintendents, Principals, etc.). To make your attendance as efficient as possible, prior to the workshop, you may wish to:
a. Create an Egrants account prior to your arrival (Click here to create Egrants account)
b. Bring your School Safety Plan(s)
b. Bring blueprints of your building(s)
Note: the DOJ interprets "blueprints" as a floor plan or school map that shows doors, windows, stairways, room numbers, and other information immediately useful to law enforcement, fire, and EMS responders, to locate and respond to a crisis location. Applicants should not submit architectural plans.
c. Invite a local law enforcement personnel to attend as part of your team
The grant application is due June 8, 2018.
Cost:
- FREE to all CESA 5 Safe & Healthy Schools Members
- All others: Teams up to 2: $50, $25 each additional team member (Example: 3 on your team attending=$75)
