The first day will examine Tier 2 intervention features, their connection to Tier 1 practices, and their application to Tier 2 interventions. The second day will examine the brief Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) process within the Tier 2 system, including connections to both Tier 1 practices and Tier 2 intervention features.

Objectives

Day 1 Teams will:

  • Align Tier 2 with Tier 1 data, systems, and practices.
  • Develop or refine Tier 2 interventions (Check-In Check-Out, Social Academic Instruction Groups, and Mentoring) that include all six intervention features.
  • Create a plan to provide ongoing training and support to students, staff, and families and obtain their feedback.
  • Refine roles and responsibilities of the Tier 2 team.

Day 2 Teams will:

  • Create a plan for how the team will develop or refine a brief Functional Behavior Assessment data collection process including training and supporting stakeholders.
  • Create a plan for how the team will develop or refine brief Behavior Intervention Plans that include all six intervention features, training, and supporting stakeholders.?

Audience

This two day Tier 2 Booster is designed for school or district teams, of two or more people, looking to strengthen their current system. This series will help teams improve primary Tier 2 interventions and the system that supports them.  Common challenges with implementing each intervention will be addressed with time to review, reflect and plan around current practice.

**Any allergies/intolerances to specific foods will need to be communicated no later than 10 days prior to the first day of training in order to be honored.**

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the training date for a refund to be issued. Cancellations for the PBIS Conference must be received 30 days in advance. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee. The Wisconsin RtI Centers reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.
