Wisconsin Computer Science (June 2017) and Information and Technology Literacy (November 2017) Standards have been approved and released. More standards? You bet! Does this mean it's "one more thing?" Not necessarily. Let's take a look at the standards up close and personal and then spend some time connecting them to what we are already doing with classroom instruction in any content area (and identify those gap areas, too). This workshop will give participants a deeper dive into both the CS and ITL Standards as well as access to ready-to-use resources to share with district staff meetings to build awareness and understanding of how these standards can connect and enhance classroom instruction already in place. We will explore crosswalks, implementation strategies, and instructional materials that can be leveraged to meet these standards and provide opportunities for student profiencies in skills critical in today's workforce. This workshop is best suited for curriculum directors, technology leaders, classroom educators responsible specifically for computer science or digital literacy instruction but is applicable to any content area. This is a train-the-trainer model workshop and resources acquired are intended to be redistributed in districts.

Cost to attend: $25 per person
