Effective PBIS implementation in high schools leads to improved attendance rates and behavior outcomes (Freeman, J., Simonsen, B., McCoach, D.B., Sugai, G., Lombardi, A., Horner, R. 2015). These sessions are an opportunity for high school practitioners to connect with other high schools and share strategies that work. Resources will also be shared that are specifically geared towards implementation within the high school context. At least one high school will be featured each session to present and discuss a topic of interest.
Objectives
- Identify strategies to adapt implementation of Equitable Multi-Level Systems of Supports at the high school level for college and career readiness
- Discuss and share with area practitioners in the areas of equity, collaboration, strong shared leadership, systemic implementation, strong universal level of support, positive culture, high quality instruction, strategic use of data, evidence-based practices, continuum of supports and family and community engagement
