Exploring the Vision of the NGSS and our WSS

Exploring the vision of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and our Wisconsin Standards for Science (WSS).

In this webinar we’ll first engage in a brief 3D science experience, connecting to practices and crosscutting concepts in the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Wisconsin Standards for Science (WSS). We’ll share some places to find aligned lessons and resources, comparing the NGSS and WSS and noting that resources will work for either. We’ll also discuss selection and implementation of instructional materials. Briefly, we’ll share strategies for effective elementary science and structures for high school courses. To conclude, we’ll review state assessment resources and plans.
