PBIS is a framework for defining, teaching and supporting student behaviors to create positive school environments. All behavior skills, including school procedures, social emotional learning, and college and career ready skills need to be taught and supported. Participants will have opportunities to create or refine classroom matrices and create integrated lesson plans.

Session Objectives:

  • Draft/Revise a classroom matrix that supports an academic instructional framework to identify the skills necessary for students to be successful in the classroom and beyond
  • Analyze academic lesson plans to identify behavior skills necessary for students to engage in and experience success with academic lessons
  • Integrate the elements of teaching behavior skills within academic instruction
  • Determine training and ongoing support methods for engaging staff and stakeholders
