Allies in Mental Health Education (AMHE), a partnership between CESA 6 and CESA 7, is designed to grow existing knowledge and systems to better support students' overall mental wellness. The Allies in Mental Health Education Implementation Model brings the Wisconsin DPI's School Mental Health Framework to life via:

  • Creating effective and systematic change
  • Breaking down the stigma of mental health
  • Embedding onsite coaching

Join us on the AMHE journey to tool up your school community (learner, family, school and community partners) by providing clarity, structure and implementation support to address mental health and wellness for ALL learners.

Let the adventure begin!

Allies in Mental Health Education is a two-year professional development opportunity combining both traditional professional development and monthly on-site coaching. It includes:

  • 3-day Summer Academy in 2018 and 2019
    • “Getting Comfortable Being Uncomfortable”- July 30-Aug 1, 2018 at the Fox Valley Technical College DJ Bordini Center in Appleton
  • 3 Cohort Meetings in 2018 and 2019
    • October 23, 2018; January 16, 2019; and April 11, 2019
  • Onsite Monthly Coaching in 2018 and 2019

Each CESA will accept only 10 teams for the 2018-19 Cohort 1. See Guidelines for School Mental Health Team Selection. Teams will be selected by the end of May 2018.

Stay tuned in March 2018 for additional information concerning the AMHE's application and pre-interview process and cost.
