CESA 5 Science Network Meeting #2: Innovations in Science & STEM

The Innovations in Science & STEM professional development opportunity
has been incorporated into CESA 5's Science Network Meeting #2.

At this workshop, we will learn how to use your school building and school grounds as an extension of your classroom.
We will also explore STEM activities and hands-on tools that will engage students in the process of collecting energy data and developing ways to be more sustainable.

Who should attend?
Teachers from any grade level looking to add STEM activities to their curriculum.

Participants will:

• Be able to use their school building and grounds as an extension of their classroom when planning transdisciplinary units about energy.
• Identify and address connections between energy and the everyday lives of their students.
• Develop a plan that allows them to communicate the importance of place-based energy education and overall goals and next steps in the school community.

**Participants should be prepared to explore outside!

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
