Join the DPI's Julie Palkowski, Ph.D. (Fine Arts and Creativity Education Consultant) & CESA #4 for our second Music PLN: Investigating New Standards & Disciplinary Literacy in the Arts
Music Educators (Participants need to bring a laptop/portable technology device.)
This interactive session will include activities that support the use of disciplinary literacy tools - writing, reading, thinking, listening, speaking, and performing - to deepen student arts learning.
We will also tour the new WI Standards for Music. Participants will have an opportunity to navigate the standards, see the accompanying resources online, develop some team lessons, and share ideas for implementation in the classroom.

$25 per individual
Free to teachers from districts purchasing #219 Level 1B services.
Attend first three 2017-18 PLN sessions and attend the last session free!
Price adjustments will be made at time of billing.
Participant Cancellation Policy:
You must contact CESA 4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event unless otherwise stated in the individual event details. CESA 4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA 4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.
Dietary Restrictions:
Because of the number of meals served, number of ingredients used, and food product changes from vendors, we cannot guarantee dietary restrictions as indicated in a user's myQuickReg profile will be accommodated. Participants with dietary restrictions such as food allergies should plan to bring their own refreshments.
Weather Conditions:
If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please call CESA 4 Voice Mail at (608) 786-4800; Toll Free (800) 514-3075. A message will be posted regarding workshop weather cancellations.
Additional Accommodations:
If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated.
