Who's Doing the Work?  How to Say Less so Readers Can Do More
Presented by Jan Burkins and Kim Yaris.

What is the “next generation” thinking for read aloud, shared reading, guided reading, and independent reading? Interactive protocols, presentation, and discussion will make connections to mindset, student engagement, text level, and teacher language, considering when they do (and do not) help students develop efficient reading processes and enthusiasm for reading. Simple adjustments to instruction can lead to powerful shifts in student engagement and empower students to become better readers.
