This is a great opportunity for paraprofessionals to acquire adequate tools to help them within their respective roles and responsibilities.  There will be three different session times and you will have several options to choose from in each of the sessions.

Session I Breakouts:  12:45 PM - 1:30 PM

  • Self Regulation and Managment of Behavior. Visual Supports and Self Reflection Skills - Dawn Mannebach, School Psychologist and Autism Consultant
  • Exploring Google and the many options it can offer you and the students that you work with.   - Lisa Misco, Director of Special Education
  • Working on behavior management and accommodations in the EC environment - Wendi Schreiter, CESA 8 Early Childhood Program Support

Session II Breakouts:  2:00 PM - 2:45 PM

  • Assistive Technology.  Use an iPad or Chromebook to help students become independent active learners - Joanne Laurich, Special Ed. Program Support and Assistive Technology Coordinator
  • Strategies for being in the general education classroom.  Role of paraprofessional in the general education classroom - Deb Wall, CESA 8 RSN Director
  • Working on behavior management and accommodations in the EC environment - Wendi Schreiter, CESA 8 Early Childhood Program Support  (repeat of the breakout in Session I)

Session III Breakouts:  3:00 PM - 3:45

COST: $30.00 per person for SNPD Member districts  /  $75.00 per person for non-member districts

            

 

 

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 8 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment or inclement weather. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. DIETARY ACCOMMODATIONS: Due to varied dietary restrictions, CESA 8 cannot guarantee that all special dietary accommodations can be met.
