Are you looking for better ways to engage your students while teaching the math standards? The Desmos classroom activities form a free platform for building and facilitating pre-made or custom interactive student lessons. During this workshop, teachers will experience activities as students and use the conversation tools and dashboard to show how to help a classroom reflect on the activities. After familiarizing ourselves with the stock of pre-made activities, teachers will build custom activities through Activity Builder, all the while following the activity building code laid out by Desmos. Bring lessons you want to make over or come ready to start something fresh.

Learning outcomes include:

  • Participant will learn what DESMOS and DESMOS teacher activities are and why DESMOS should be used in their classrooms.
  • Participants will learn how to use DESMOS as a teaching tool and a student learning tool.
  • Participants will learn how to create and/or modify their own teacher activity.

This event is offered at a cost of $50 per participant for those CESA 10 districts with a Title II Agreement, including:  Abbotsford, Altoona, August, Bloomer, Bruce, Cadott, Colby, Cornell, Eleva-Strum, Gilmanton, Granton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Neillsville, New Auburn, Osseo-Fairchild, Owen-Withee, Spencer, and Thorp.

The cost for all other CESA 10 districts is $175 per participant.  The cost to those outside of CESA 10 is $300 per participant.
