Meeting the Budget Challenge

Overview: The onion model provides a conceptual planning framework that can be adapted to local needs in prioritizing alternatives to be considered when facing limited budgets.

Key Consideration:  The onion planning approach:
•    Provides a framework that can be adapted to local planning;
•    Assists in prioritizing alternatives to inform budget planning decisions;
•    Provides a rationale, supported with documentation, to help budget planners and stakeholders to better understand the specifics of budget challenges and ways they might be addressed; and
•    Allows stakeholders to offer input in the budget planning process.

Workshop Outcomes:  The workshop introduces a budget planning process (onion model) and highlights ways it can be adopted/adjusted to local needs.

Who should attend: Administrators along with staff charged with the responsibility to make budget recommendations to the School Board

Cost: $25.00 - Lunch will be served

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing.
