Being a new teacher can be overwhelming and challenging. Join this engaging workshop series to help alleviate the stress of having your own classroom and being a new teacher. This workshop series will focus on all aspects of the teacher educator standards. We will explore both models of Educator Effectiveness using a general approach including instructional planning, assessment, professionalism and professional responsibilities, the classroom environment, and instructional delivery. Learn strategies to manage your time and your students, engage your students in deep learning, assess for learning and informing instruction, communicate to all stakeholders, and engage your parents. Each workshop date will include time for sharing, networking, coaching, and answering questions you may have.
Meet other new teachers going through the same trials and tribulations you may be experiencing and form a great network of professionals to contact for support and assistance.
This workshop series is structured as stand-alone events thus allowing for educators to attend any or all of the dates and to be able to learn and practice new strategies to use in the classroom immediately.
