In this after school professional learning community, participants will collaborate and plan using the guided reading strategies of Jan Richardson in preparation for her CESA 10 workshop on January 17th and 18th, 2018.

Learning objectives include:

  1. Participants will have the opportunity to analyze, discuss and share perspectives about ELA instruction.
  2. Improve the way you coach and give feedback to students.
  3. Participants will be reminded what works best in teaching reading and writing.

This will be a blended book study; the first and last days of the book study will be face-to-face meetings offered at three different regional locations, with online work in between.

The first session will be on September 29 and the last session on December 14 at a regional location to be determined based upon registrations once the registration period has closed.

Each participant must purchase their own copy of the book.

One graduate credit will be offered for this book study, with details being provided at a later date.

This book study is offered at no cost to districts participating in Titlel I Fee for Service including the districts of Abbotsford, Bloomer, Bruce, Colby, Cornell, Eleva-Strum, Gilmanton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Neillsville, New Auburn, Owen-Withee, Spencer, and Thorp.  The cost for all others is $350 per participant.
