This workshop is designed for school or district leadership teams to collaboratively investigate end-of-year student data to inform future improvement planning. Leadership teams will engage in a structured data inquiry process to investigate the attainment and growth of students in their school over the past one to three years. Teams will utilize online technology to access and study data findings, while documenting their work. Data findings, will lead to a hypothesis of potential root causes of critical data findings.
Teams will leave the retreat with:
- Essential achievement data questions
- Current data charts and graphs that answer essential questions
- Summarized and prioritized data findings
- Data-informed goals for improvement
- Hypotheses of practices as likely contributing root causes
- Draft of possible actions for improvement planning
- Plan to continue improvement planning and launch goals and plans with staff
Teams should come with:
- Access to passcodes to WISEDash for Districts at the student analyst level
- Access passcodes to local interim assessments or data warehouse tool
- Laptop computer
Registration fee: $90 for CESA 5 School Improvement Members, $150 non-members
