Updated Guidance on Section 504
Participants will review the legal basis and “big ideas” underlying 504 plans as well as the practical considerations for determining eligibility and developing written plans. Additional discussion topics will include Title II obligations and the recent OCR guidance regarding ADHD. Participants are encouraged to submit questions ahead of time.
Presenter: Mary Gerbig is an attorney with Davis and Kuelthau. She has represented school districts in numerous special education and discrimination hearings and mediations under IDEA and Section 504.
Cost: $75.00 per person for CESA 8 2017-18 SNPD member districts
$150.00 per person for all other districts
Lunch provided.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee.
