Note: this event is a three-day series: Nov 2, Nov 3 and Feb 6  March 5.

Classroom management has a strong impact on student engagement.  From rules and routines to room arrangement, teachers can create environments that foster learning for ALL students.  Effective classroom management requires an approach that is positive, proactive, and preventive.  To close gaps and improve academic achievement, intentional and purposeful strategies must be considered for implementation including practices that increase student engaged time.

Participants will develop a classroom matrix, establish effective routines, and learn teaching signals and procedures.  Additionally, we will learn how to deliver specific, positive feedback, understand classroom acknowledgement and consequence systems, defuse power struggles, and recognize implicit bias.

Target Audience: All K-12 - General and special education teachers, instructional coaches, administrators

Presenter: Diane Jensen, Instructional Coach and ELA Consultant

Investment: $325 | includes lunch all three days, and one copy of Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Teaching and Learning by Sharroky Hollie
