Universal Design for Learning (UDL) expert, Katie Novak, will bring an interactive day of professional development that will elevate educators to build on the foundation of UDL as a framework for curriculum and instructional design.

In Universal Design for Learning (UDL), the goal is that all students become expert learners who are self-directed, creative, problem-solvers who persevere when faced with challenges. Expert learning requires that educators build an academic, physical, and social-emotional environment that is culturally responsive and socially just so all students have opportunities to challenge themselves and strive for meaningful success. This shift requires that teachers embrace their passion, their craft, and creativity to transform education!

At this workshop, educators will discover how to:

  • Optimize and scale student voice and choice
  • Create a community that values continual improvement, creativity, and innovation
