We will focus on ages 3-6.  If you have students functioning in the 3-6 age range (no matter their actual age)  you will benefit from understanding/learning practices that support progress.

Note: This is a two-day event - December 14 & January 17

This two-day series will help early math teachers and support people understand the developmental progressions, Practice Standards and content connected to Number Sense and Geometry. Participants will dive into the instructional moves necessary to build conceptual understanding while developing fluency and reasoning. Hattie’s effective instruction research integrates with the Standards for Mathematical Practice to develop classroom practices that increase rigor and personalize learning.

  • This workshop gives districts and schools opportunities to network across grades and make connections within the developmental progressions of one strand of our State Mathematics standards -attend as a team if you can!!
  • Teachers will have opportunities to connect with others who teach the same grades and topics, as well as build understandings of what comes before and after their math standards.
  • All attendees will deepen their understandings of how to help students successfully engage in the learning of mathematics in both universal and intervention settings.
