CESA 6 Teacher Leader Effectiveness Project-FREE KICK OFF EVENT

Featured presenter is Dr. James Stronge, Ph. D., Heritage Professor, Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership, College of William and Mary

This one day workshop will present research-based field-tested techniques that promote student achievement.  The organizing framework will be the teacher and leader qualities found in Qualities of Effective Teachers (Stronge, 2007), highlighting skills for selecting, monitoring, and developing effective educators.  

The workshop will  feature practical, hands-on application of selected tools for teachers, teacher leaders, principals and instructional specialist to use as they focus on supporting effective teacher practices as outlined in Evaluating What Good Teachers Do (Stronge, 2010).

Participants will leave inspired and called to action to ensure that there are effective teachers in every classroom!

Who should attend? District superintendents, principals, curriculum directors, special education directors, human resource directors, business managers, and teacher leaders.

This workshop is FREE-continental breakfast, lunch, and hand outs will be provided

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
