Have you ever had to deal with these situations as a driver?

  • Kids that believe that they don’t need to listen to you
  • That don’t pick up after themselves
  • Having problems staying in their seats
  • Teasing others
  • Parents who believe that you have been unfair to their child
  • Feel like you don’t have the support that you need from your supervisor when dealing with difficult students and their parents
  • Multiple drop-offs
  • Minor emergencies such as forgetting to get off, students getting off at the wrong place, missing a drop-off, or getting stuck off the road

Spend the morning with Paul Gasser. He will share with you strategies and techniques that will help you to immediately feel more in control and have more energy at the end of your bus route. His workshops are lighthearted and filled with practical ideas to use.

The information, skills and strategies offered will help you feel more confident when you are faced with problem situations you are not sure how to handle, but don’t feel comfortable asking others about. Paul will facilitate a “best practices” discussion on what it means to be a confident, friendly and safe bus driver.

Presenter: Paul Gasser
His experience with children and their families comes as a result of working over 29 years as a therapist and educator.  He and his wife are the parents of four children. Paul is a Marriage & Family Therapist for St. Joseph's Healthcare-Gundersen/Lutheran and an Instructor for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He is also a presenter for the Love & Logic Institute of Golden Colorado.
