Event Description
Join us for our “College Night” for Menominee Students and Families. The purpose of this event is to gather programs and departments to provide an opportunity for our students, families and community members to come together to learn about post-secondary educational opportunities.
Four Native American college students from Columbia University’s AlterNATIVE Education program will be speaking about their college journeys and what the process is to apply to college. Students and families will also learn more about the Native Pathways to College program through the American Indian College Fund. The focus of the event is to help students become college and career ready.
Participant Outcomes
As a result of attending this event, participants will:
- Gain insights and hear suggestions about how to be college and career ready
- Learn about what resources are available to support students in the process of applying and being successful in the goals they set forth.
