Specific support on starting the work within the Lucy Calkins writing program. Attendees will leave understanding the scope and sequence of the writing series, as well as models to incorporate mini-lessons, conferencing, and scoring.

Learning outcomes:

  1. To understand the scope and sequence of the Lucy Calkins writing material.
  2. To develop a management plan using the workshop model.
  3. To leave with a teaching model incorporating the gradual release process in writing.

This workshop is offered at no cost to districts participating in Title I Fee for Service including the districts of Abbotsford, Bloomer, Bruce, Colby, Cornell, Eleva-Strum, Gilmanton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Neillsville, New Auburn, Owen-Withee, Spencer, and Thorp.  

The cost for all other CESA 10 districts is $175 per participant, and the cost for all others outside of CESA 10 is $350 per participant.
