Want to make instruction more engaging for all students? Wondering how to increase student learning in your classroom or school? Then this workshop series is for you! Let's Get Started is a four-part series aimed at all PK-12 educators and leaders interested in designing curriculum and instruction that will meet the needs of all learners in a classroom or school. Participants will learn how the Universal Design for Learning Guidelines can be incorporated on the front-end of lesson design to provide better and more opportunities for students to learn. Sessions One to Three will revolve around deepening learning of the UDL Guidelines through a book study, face-to-face learning, and applications to practice. Katie Novak, best-selling author and national UDL expert, will join us for Session Four to share strategies aimed at taking UDL implementation to the next level.

Who should attend? Individuals are certainly welcome, but we ask building leaders to consider the wisdom of attending along with one or more classroom teachers and special education teachers to deepen the discussion and consider how the UDL Guidelines might be brought to life in a school as a strategy for school improvement intended to improve student learning outcomes. This event is priced to encourage team participation and the cost includes all four sessions, materials, and the 2nd edition of Katie Novak's book, UDL Now!

Session 1: Introduction to UDL Guidelines. Dig deeply into Engagement. Incorporate book study discussion from UDL Now!

Session 2: Discuss applications to practice. Dig deeply into Representation. Incorporate book study discussion from UDL Now!

Session 3: Discuss applications to practice. Dig deeply into Action and Expression. Incorporate book study discussion from UDL Now!

Session 4 *OPEN TO PUBLIC*: Katie Novak presents enhanced UDL practices and next-steps for teachers and leaders - only $40!
