More intensive training on the ACP e-Portfolio Tools (60 minutes)

This section will focus more in-depth on the tools students use for building out their ACP portfolios and artifact/file inclusion and storage, along with, the associated management tools in the Career Advisor Management System (CAMS).

The CAMS Reporting Tools and Additional Management Functions (45 minutes)

This section will go deeper into the capabilities and utilization of the data reporting tools and additional program management options in CAMS that were not covered in the previous introductory training sessions.

Break (15 minutes)

Parent Portal & Student Surveys (30 minutes)

Review what parents see through the Parent Portal and how they can use it.  Introduction to the student survey functionality.

Best Practices Implementation Discussion (60 minutes)

This section will showcase one or two best practice implementations from within each CESA region with Q & A sharing time with all participants.

 

12:15 - 3:00 PM - Cohort Development for ACP Team Implementation

Overview of PI-26, the legislative law, and the basic requirements  (30 min)

This section will outline what needs to be started and placed on your District Webpage.

Jason LeMay, Altoona High School Principal - ACP Implementation at two different schools (45 min)

In this section, Jason will discuss how he implemented ACP at Pardeeville, and at Altoona.  He will explain his process, along with similiarities and differences between the two schools.  Also,  Jason will discuss the ELA, Social Studies, Math, and Science connections that need to take place in the school.

Divide Schools in to Three Cohorts:  Provide District work time with Support (90 min)

In this section, we will organize the schools into three similiar groups.  The groups will collaborate on implementation plans in their school. This will be school driven with Career Cruising, and CESA 10 staff moderating.

The three cohorts will be:  

  • Beginning (ACP 101)
  • Implementing (ACP 102)
  • Advanced (ACP 103)
