This workshop is designed to provide support for paraprofessionals as they work with students, teachers, administrators and parents, and to establish a process for becoming ‘highly qualified’ as required for working in a Title I Schoolwide or Targeted Assisted School.

Workshop objectives

Participants will:

  • Understand their role as a paraprofessional
  • Explore their role in providing instructional supports for students in reading, writing and math
  • Increase their knowledge and skills in the areas of reading, writing and math
  • Register for and begin the Master Teacher ParaEducator PD Now! modules (completion of the modules and assessments with a passing score will meet the Title I requirement for "Highly Qualified" paraprofessional status)

Please bring a laptop with you and make sure you have access to the e-mail you provided when you registered. You will be setting up your Master Teacher ParaEducator account the day of the workshop. If you do not have access to a laptop, please contact Sue Christensen at (920) 236-0546 or schristensen@cesa6.org and arrangements will be made for you to have a laptop on-site.
