Please join a collaborative community of teachers for a two day writing experience focused on the Middle and High School levels with Kelly Gallagher, a renowned classroom teacher, literacy expert and author.  He will inspire teachers to approach writing with a new enthusiasm by sharing proven strategies, tools and tips to engage students in the writing process.  Writing should be fun, lively, informative, challenging as well as prepare students to be adult writers.

Day one will focus on strategies to get students up and writing.  Day two will focus on using formative assessment to elevate the level of writing in your classroom.

Participants will learn to elevate student writing by:

  • Providing strategies to get all students up and writing.
  • Modeling numerouse assignments that engage kids in the writing process.
  • Using assessment to drive better student writing.

This two-day workshop is offered at a cost of $100 per participant to those districts participating in Title IIA.  The cost for all others to attend is $350 per participant.  (2017-18 Consortium Membership will be adjusted after 2017-18 Service Contracts have been received.)
