Join Jackie Drummer, Education Works! And Dorothy Ginnett, CESA 5 Curriculum Specialist for this workshop on creative thinking and teaching strategies. We will feature several creative idea incubation processes related to the Global Biomimicry Design Challenge on Climate Change (GT grant) and other creative STEM student team challenges:

  • generating problems and finding resources to pique the curiosities of student teams (idea generation)

  • sharing/processing what teams might have already done or are doing,(piggybacking ideas)

  • processing how to use invention/creative/critical thinking/decision-making skills to guide the team work (successful incubation tips)

  • processing next steps (planning)

 

Costs:
No cost for 2 GT Coordinators/Teacher team facilitators in GT Grant Participating Districts (Baraboo, Iola-Scandinavia, Princeton, Wautoma and Wild Rose).
$30 All others

 

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
