Overview

Concept of Word in Text: Concept of word is a pivotal component of emergent literacy. Participants will learn how to correctly administer concept of word tasks, as well as how to analyze their students’ concept of word data. The session also provides a step-by-step concept of word in text lesson framework for small group instruction and activities to help build students’ reading vocabularies.

Progress Monitoring with PALS: Monitoring Student Progress provides guidance for using PALS Quick Checks to evaluate the effectiveness of RtI interventions by looking closely at student progress in specific literacy skill areas.

Make the most of the robust reading resources available in your PALS Online account. Learn how to use the Electronic Lesson Plans for each level of reading development: Emergent, Beginning, Transitional, and Intermediate/Advanced.
