Description
This workshop will take a deep dive into the work of Kylene Beers and Robert Probst’s texts, Notice & Note Strategies for Close Reading and Reading Nonfiction - Notice & Note Stances, Signposts and Strategies. Participants will examine the six signposts that help readers notice significant moments in both fiction and nonfiction texts. Additionally, we will examine text-dependent questions, rigor and text complexity. Multiple examples and strategies will be shared. Teachers will leave this session equipped with ideas for immediate implementation of signposts into their instruction.
