Apps for the Elementary Classroom

Participants in this hands-on workshop will examine the power that the iPad/iPod Touch has to enhance and expand your students' learning. Discover Education Apps that will enable students to create, consume, and reflect on their learning. Lunch is included.
In this workshop you will:
• Create an iTunes Account
• Learn basic operations of the iPad and iPod Touch
• Explore iPad and iPod Touch features
• Explore Apps native to the iPad and iPod Touch
• Explore Apps found in iTunes (free and for a cost)
• Explore examples how the iPad and/or iPod Touch can be used in the classroom
• Discuss the pros and cons of using iPad and/or iPod Touch in the classroom and/or for professional development activities.
*** Participants should bring an iPod Touch / iPad and a laptop with iTunes software installed if possible.
You may want to have an iTunes account set up as well.
CESA 5 registration fee: $ 40
