Join us for this half-day workshop to learn to use PALS data to plan differentiated, small-group literacy instruction.  Participants will get an in-depth look at the types of reports available to them, once students’ scores have been entered into the database. Educators will learn how to use PALS reports to determine students’ instructional levels, diagnose students’ strengths and needs in literacy and monitor student progress throughout the year.  Time will be given to reflect on student data and to start making plans for instruction.  All assessment data must be entered into the PALS online account before attending this session.

Workshop objectives
Participants will:

  • Examine PALS reports and learn to interpret the data to determine students’ instructional levels.
  • Learn a five-step process based upon the data to plan instruction and intervention.
  • Implement this process to plan differentiated instruction.
  • Draw on the PALS Grouping Function to form flexible, small groups.
  • Employ PALS progress monitoring resources.

Who should attend?
Any educator using PALS for Pre-Kindergarten.
